We had an amazing time laughing and breaking bread together at last week’s Cookout. This cookout marked the end of our series, “Faith On Fire: Rekindling Your Spiritual Spark.” Thanks to all who made it happen: the Fellowship Team for setting it up, Jim Brooks for grilling the hamburgers and hotdogs while getting free grilling advice from nearly every male in the church! The idea may have come from the Worship Team, but many others made it come to life.
Events like this really help bond us to one another and create a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers. We are becoming a community that is easy for those far from Christ to explore, and join. That growth as a community enables us to step more and more into our destiny as a church that takes the Great Commission seriously, and joyfully.
It is an honor to be your pastor! I am looking forward to what is next as we grow together.

P.S. This coming Sunday, August 4th, starts our newest series, “Faith Reboot: Redefining Family for the Next Chapter.” This series will benefit any who are empty-nesters and want to explore what a Jesus-shaped family for the next chapter of life looks like.
P.P.S. The NEXT series will be entitled “Bridges Over Divide: Fostering Civility in Challenging Times.” and will be grounded in what we are learning from scripture and the current book study, “Restoring Civility.”
