A Friend in Every City?

Well, not quite, but maybe…

My family and I have been blown away by the kindness shown to us by our church family in the past few weeks. 

When people brag about whom they know, often they embellish the truth to make themselves seem better than they are.

But really, as Christians, we have friends in every city. 

“For I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.

Acts 18:10

The day after Christmas, my wife’s mom passed away after a brief illness. We have not been in the St. Louis area for very long but even so, many fellow Christians came around us to comfort us, to arrange for details so we could be away, and so much more

Truly, the church is the best community in the world. The Lord’s people are in every city. And even though we have just been part of your lives for only a brief time you have come around us to provide truly caring support. We have been so blessed by both the faith community of West County Lutheran and the church where my wife works during the week.

Your kindness is a testimony to the gift of the Christian community. Please never doubt your demonstration of Christian love.
